A “Community Loan” is a loan granted to a community or voluntary organisation which is established for the express purpose of furthering the social, economic, or environmental well-being of individuals within the Common Bond of the Credit Union in the following areas:
Sport and Recreation
Culture and Heritage
The 'Arts' (within the meaning of the Arts Act, 2003)
Health of the community
Youth, Welfare and Amenities
Natural environment

If the application is €25k +, a Business Plan must be supplied for the business.
- Letter from the Committee outlining the requirement and minutes allowing the application to be made
- List of Trustees, together with CDD documentation
- Most recent accounts for the group
- CRBOT registration (If applicable)
- Cash flow statement / projections / forecasts
- How the the group is financed
- Details of any security offered / available
- Purpose of application - benefits
- Group investment levels in the project
