Customer Due Diligence (CDD) / Documentation Requirements

Throughout your membership with Cairde Credit Union Ltd. you will be requested to provide updated:

  • Proof of ID
  • Proof of Address
  • Proof of PPS

Under regulations from the Central Bank of Ireland, Cairde Credit Union Ltd is obliged to maintain up-to-date documentation of the above sections for all members of the Credit Union.

What Documentation is Acceptable?

Proof of Identification

(valid until expiry date)

  • Valid Driving Licence
  • Valid Passport
  • Birth Certificate
Proof of Address

(dated within the last 6 months)

  • Utility Bill
  • Bank Statement
  • Insurance Documents
  • Correspondence from:
    • Revenue Commissioners
    • Government Departments
    • Local Authorities
  • Correspondence from a reputable 3rd party:
    • Solicitor/Legal Papers
    • HSE/Medical Letter/GP Letter
    • Accountant/Financial Advisor
    • Employment Correspondence
    • TV Licence Letter
    • School
Proof of PPS
  • Payslip
  • Medical Card
  • European Health Insurance Card (EHIC)
  • Pension Book
  • White Social Services Card
  • Drug Payment Scheme Card
  • Correspondence from:
    • Revenue Commissioners
    • Government Department
    • Local Authority
